- His family is Italian but they moved to Northern Europe a couple of generations ago, we'll go with half Finnish maybe? Ultimately, he moves out to central Europe in his teens so this is 100% just fluff
- Became a Dreamer very young and was pretty successful, near prodigy level magic user. Everyone probably expected him to become a star Striker or possibly someone who excelled in all branches, he was just that good
He also was one of those Novices that weren't registered with the DU because frankly he was too far away from the city to actually sign up. Ah well. - A Nightmare attack changed that and while there were no Figments caught in the attack, several experienced Dreamers were taken out and while Olruggio was able to get two Dreamers out of the battle relatively unharmed, the others weren't so lucky. He blames himself for being unable to do more during this incident, even though reports indicate that to not be the case
- He pivoted hard from frontline combat following this, focusing instead of supporting his fellow Dreamers and improving their odds of success
- Moved closer to DU Europe HQ in order to register properly and start actively helping in the Dreamer community
- Attended school for graphic design and illustration. Wound up getting that degree and one in architecture because this man is a prodigy
- Got out of school and... Didn't immediately go into a Dreaming career. Instead, he goes into graphic design with a semi-well known company. He transitions into doing freelance work after he establishes himself
- He's still signed up with the DU branch in Europe though and while he never bothers to register as mentor, he always makes sure he's available to fill if people need a Saver
- Is currently working as a Dreamer at night and his graphic designer gig in his waking hours, though his penchant for perfection in his work means he's pulling more all-nighters for his freelance design work than he is Dreaming these days...

PSYCHIC INFORMATION: On the surface, he's pretty gruff but underneath that demeanor he's a huge worrywart. There's an incident in his childhood where he failed to save people and it hampers his ability to harm others and has him a little too dedicated to helping others (it's not trauma, clearly). Looking closely at his memories, there are odd pockets of missing time. If pressed, Olruggio will probably blame them on blacking out after either a) multiple all-nighters finishing a commission or b) too much celebratory drinking after completing a commission.
Those missing memories are not, in fact, natural. But he wouldn't be able to tell you what happened even if you asked.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: He's a witch! But magic is drawn in Witch Hat Atelier's universe, so he has no latent magical ability.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: The most sleep deprived inventor dad you've walked into for a while...
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Unlikely to come up in RP. He's not well suited to fighting, and while he's able to hold his own, he falters if he's explicitly told to murder something.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: He wears loose robes, with one of the most noticeable things being the heavy, velvet cloak that he wears. It weighs him down so he tends to slouch when walking around. Like all witches in Witch Hat Atelier, he wears a pointed cap with a tassel on the end, which used to belong to his friend, Qifrey. They traded decorations when they were young and they've worn it ever since (iykyk). He usually has bags under his eyes from lack of sleep but otherwise just looks like a skinny, bookish guy.
